I love that my couples feel free to share who they are on their wedding day. Whether you want to have a wedding with ‘star wars’ or any other theme this is the day you can unashamedly and openly do so !
In fact that is my role as a marriage celebrant – affirm that it is the couple’s wedding celebration. They are creating life long memories to be enjoyed both on the day as well as in the years ahead.
Whilst their unique expression was centre stage at times , the couple’s families and friends were also acknowledged. The couple brought two different cultures to their marriage and their values and traditions were readily accommodated as well. The result ? Everyone engaged in the joy of the occasion and danced the night away.
A wedding ceremony – whether it is a wedding with a theme or a wedding where different cultures come together – can absolutely be a day of joy and celebration.
